108 Blue Star is inside the Blue Star Arts Complex in Southtown, near South Alamo Street and the San Antonio River. The address is 108 Blue Star, San Antonio, TX 78204.
Parking conditions depend heavily on the day and time. For an ordinary event, allow time to find parking and walk into the complex. For First Friday, plan for heavier traffic, limited availability and paid parking operations at the complex.
Yes. VIA Metropolitan Transit Route 51, Nogalitos, stops along South Alamo in front of the Blue Star Arts Complex. Route 51 connects the South Side with Downtown San Antonio, runs throughout the week and has extended late-night service. Schedules and detours can change, especially around major events, so check the VIA Trip Planner before you travel.
Often, yes. Uber, Lyft and other rideshare services are frequently easier than parking during high-traffic periods, especially on First Friday.
Blue Star Arts Complex sits directly on the San Antonio River and connects to the River Walk and Mission Reach trail system, so walking or biking is practical for guests already in Southtown, King William or nearby Downtown. Not every river approach is ADA accessible.
Street parking is available in parts of the surrounding King William and Southtown neighborhoods, subject to posted restrictions and availability. The complex also identifies approaches from Eagleland Street and Crofton Avenue as nearby walking options. Always follow posted signs and avoid blocking driveways, residential access or private lots.
The complex maintains a limited on-site lot for its tenants and their customers and patrons. Parking is not guaranteed for 108 Blue Star guests, and availability may be limited during busy periods.
The Blue Star Arts Complex controls its own parking operations, rates and valet service, not 108 Blue Star. Check the complex's current parking information before your visit if parking is likely to be a concern.
First Friday is the busiest recurring parking night at Blue Star. The complex currently operates paid parking for the monthly First Friday Art Walk, and demand is significantly higher throughout Southtown. Arrive early or use another way to get here, and do not rely on finding a space beside the venue.
For select private events, 108 Blue Star may be able to coordinate valet parking for approximately 40 vehicles at a nearby lot, case by case. It is not automatically included with a venue rental and must be confirmed during event planning.
Event-specific rideshare or drop-off instructions may be provided as part of your event details. Follow the instructions for your event rather than stopping in an active loading area.
There is no dedicated vendor parking at 108 Blue Star. Typical load-in takes place through the double front doors, and oversized load-in access is available when needed. Vendor, production and loading access is coordinated individually for each event, including arrival timing and where vehicles should move after unloading.
Yes. There is ramped access at the main entrance. The main hall, lobby bar area and guest restrooms are accessible without stairs, and each guest restroom includes an ADA-accessible stall.
Approach through the main complex and venue entrance. Do not rely on River Walk shortcuts or the Crofton trail approach.
No. The Crofton route uses trail access and a river crossing that is not accessibility-friendly.
Contact us before the event rather than relying on neighborhood trail routes.
Check your event page for event-specific arrival instructions, allow more time on First Friday and other major district nights, and use the VIA Trip Planner to confirm Route 51 timing and detours. For private events, ask during planning whether case-by-case valet may be appropriate.
Public hours vary by event. Check What’s On before making a special trip, and each event page will carry any arrival details specific to that event.
