108 Blue Star is an arts venue in the Blue Star Arts Complex in Southtown, San Antonio. The venue hosts public programming and is also available for private events, corporate and brand gatherings, celebrations, quinceañeras, weddings and creative production.

Capacity depends on the layout and production footprint. Seated dining configurations accommodate up to 250 guests. Concert-style chair configurations can accommodate up to 275. Final capacity is based on the approved event layout.

Published starting rates begin at $3,500 for smaller weekday gatherings, $5,500 for private events and celebrations, and $6,500 and up for signature events and full-venue experiences. Commercial production projects are considered and priced case by case.

Ramped access leads to the main entrance. The main hall, lobby bar area and guest restrooms are accessible without stairs. Both guest restroom facilities include an ADA-accessible stall.

Parking varies based on the date and surrounding district activity. There is no dedicated vendor parking, and vendor access is coordinated during planning. For select events, valet parking for approximately 40 vehicles may be available through a nearby lot on a case-by-case basis.

Submit the Hold a Date form with your preferred date, two alternate dates, event type, estimated guest count and budget. We will respond within three business days.

If the date is available, a courtesy hold may be placed for up to seven calendar days after availability is confirmed in writing. A hold does not confirm the booking. The date is confirmed only after the agreement is signed and the required booking deposit is received.

Weddings may be booked up to 18 months in advance, with a maximum of eight weddings hosted per calendar year. Quinceañeras may be booked up to 12 months in advance. Other events are booked based on availability and planning needs.

Rescheduling requests are considered based on notice and availability. If approved, a change fee or updated pricing may apply. Specific rescheduling terms are stated in the event agreement.

The standard event curfew is midnight unless the agreement states an earlier end time.

Yes. 108 Blue Star maintains an open vendor policy, subject to venue, insurance, licensing and safety requirements.

Yes. Outside food and catering are permitted when the vendor meets venue requirements. The venue includes a prep-only kitchen with a three-compartment sink, separate handwashing sink and prep counters. It does not include cooking appliances.

Yes. Alcohol must be provided by a properly licensed third-party provider and approved in advance. Service is limited to guests age 21 and older. Events serving alcohol should generally plan for approximately one security officer per 100 guests.

No. Candles, open flames and similar flame-based decor are not permitted.

There is no standard in-house A/V package. Outside A/V and production teams are welcome, and a preferred production vendor can provide preset packages or custom technical solutions. Wi-Fi can be made available to a limited number of event staff or production personnel; guest Wi-Fi is not provided for general attendees.
