How a courtesy hold works

A Hold a Date request is the fastest path when your first question is “Can I have this date?” The form is intentionally short. We only need enough to review availability and see whether the venue appears to fit your event. You do not need your final timeline, rental package, A/V requirements, catering plan or production details yet.

If your preferred date is available, 108 Blue Star may place a courtesy hold for up to seven calendar days after availability is confirmed in writing. A courtesy hold is temporary: it gives you a short window to move through the next steps without immediately losing the date, but it is not a confirmed booking. Your event is confirmed only after the applicable agreement is signed and the required booking deposit is received. If the hold expires before then, the date may be released for other inquiries.

1. We review within three business days

If the preferred date is available and the event appears to be a fit, we confirm the next step and may place the courtesy hold in writing.

2. We ask a few more questions

Before a detailed estimate or proposal, we may ask about timing, setup and breakdown access, food and beverage, rentals, A/V, valet and other production needs.

3. Date taken? We look at alternates

If the preferred date is unavailable, we can look at your alternate dates or discuss another planning window.

Not ready to hold a date?

You do not need a firm date to start planning. Use Plan an Event if you want a preliminary quote, are considering several dates, have only a month or season in mind, or want help understanding what your event may require.
